Due to the development and innovation in the society, the Japanese tattoo art has also developed. Nowadays, body art has gained popularity not only for younger people but the adults alike. For younger people they acquire this work of art just to keep in the fashion trend but for others they put tattoo in their body for some sentimental reasons. Upon knowing the transitions of tattoo art in Japan you will surely appreciate to have any of the designs and symbols inked in your body.

Tattoo's galore

Tattoo art being displayed by one of the attendees at the second annual London Tattoo Convention. The three day event was held at the Truman Brewery on Brick Lane and showcased over 100 tattoo artists from around the world.

Japanese Tattoo Art

The tattoo making during the Edo period became a taboo to the Japanese culture because it is used by prostitutes. The yujos inked body art in their body to attract customers that is why tattoo has gained negative impact in the society.

Where to put Tribal Tattoos

Tribal tattoos are a feasible tattoo choice as they can be placed anywhere on the body. Tribal tattoos can be placed on the chest for men and on the lower back for women. One of the most common places to find tribal tattoos on the body is the fact that they can be easily used as an arm piece through the use of a sleeve or arm band.

Most tribal tattoos are black and dark in color as they can be simplistic but make a large statement when they are chosen to tattoo on the body. Tribal tattoos are a great way to choose a neutral tattoo that can be combined with other designs that may already be present on the body, or designs that are planned for the future.

Tribal tattoos should be placed on the body where they can be bold enough to make a statement about the person that has chosen the tribal tattoo.

tattoos designs

As a tattoo enthusiast, I am always on the lookout for the latest and best tattoo artist out there. Undeniably, there are the very famous Miami Ink, and L.A. Ink. There are several different categories for tattoos.

Abstractions

Abstractions are tattoo designs that are mostly from archaic tattooing. Almost all the tribal tattoos belong to this category, as well as Celtic or modern, western abstract designs.

Naturalistic Tattoos

Naturalistic tattoos fall in this category.

Pledge or Dedication Deigns

These kinds of designs are associated with sailor or ‘traditional’ western tattooing. Some examples of pledge or dedicated tattoos are the heart and name banner tattoo, the anchor with a ship name, and the insignia of a military regiment.

Simplifications or Stylized Designs

You can also stylize non-flash, custom tattoos. This may include hearts, stylized flowers, leaves, and other images and characters.

Complex Structures or Combinations

Another popular tattoo type is complex structures like the traditional Japanese body suits or an amalgamation of images and characters which are not directly associated with each other.
